Abimed was established over 30 years ago as a National Distributor of Analytical and Life Science Products. For almost all of this time the business has focussed on pipetting. The company is a specialist provider of pipettes, tips and pipette service. From its purpose built offices, laboratory and warehouse Abimed serves all Germany, sales people are based in the key centres of Dusseldorf, Munich, Berlin and Heidelburg

In January 2008 Abimed became part of Kinesis a UK group specialising in value added distribution of chromatography consumables and service Kinesis recognised Abimed as having the infrastructure, experience and credibility to embrace an ambitious growth plan encompassing existing and new product areas

Abimed has considerably strengthened its Life Science portfolio by partnering with Axygen-the manufacturer of innovative pipette tips, filter tips, robotic tips, PCR products and microcentrifuges

New to Abimed is a range of market leading brands for chromatography consumables. Kinesis replacement lamps are complemented by SGE, Upchurch, Rheodyne, Chromacol and Omnifit products.
